Last summer I went to Vietnam with my parents. We stayed at a small village outside Saigon. The air and water was very clean and there were many kids playing in the mud along with water buffalos. Though it』s a very poor country, the kids seem to be happy. They live with their farmer parents in little houses built with dirt and straw and help out a lot in the rice field ring the day. They don』t have TVs or Internet, but they enjoy a lot playing outside. It was a very memorable trip that I will never forget.
1、Private Cars
Nowadays more and more families own private cars. Private cars, as the proct of modem civilization, have been playing a vital role in people's daily activities.
First, private cars are a convenient means of transportation. You can go wherever you like. Secondly, there is no doubt that private cars will have a great impact on the economic growth. The rapid car instry growth will contribute much to keeping the country's economy growing at a higher rate in the near futrue.
But every coin has two sides. The development of the private cars will bring about a series of problems. For example, the polluted air given off by cars will do great harm to our health, too many private cars will lead to traffic jams and a great deal of energy will be wasted and so on.
So I think we should take advantages of private cars and make them serve us better. Meantime we hope that satisfactory solutions to these negative problems will be found soon.
Private Cars
With the quick development of China, there have taken on many outstanding changes. One of them is the increase of private cars.
On the one hand, some wealthy people who either are the boss of the private company or the white-collar managers in big companies have their private cars. On the other hand, some young people who are future-minded buy private cars ahead of their income by loans from banks.
Is it a good or bad thing to have a private car? Just as a coin has two sides , so there are both advantages and disadvantages of having a private car. So far as its advantages are concerned, there are two examples for this. First , it plays a very important part in providing its owner with convenience, enabling the owner to go where he wants to quickly and easily. Second, it can help its owner to save a lot of time which may be wasted by waiting for other vehicles. However, it also has its disadvantages . For one thing, it will have a negative effect on both the crowded traffic system and the environment in the long run. For another, it places burden on the public utility in providing more parking lots.
In short , owning a private car has both its advantages and disadvantages. It is advisable that we should pay much attention to the environmental protection by not having a private car if we have little or no practical use of the private car.

The tourist trade is booming. With all thiscoming and going, you』d expect greater understanding to develop between thenations of the world. Not a bit of it! Superb systems of communication by air,sea and land make it possible for us to visit each other』s countries at amoderate cost. What was once the 『grand tour』, reserved for only the very rich,is now within everybody』s grasp. The package tour and chartered flights are notto be sneered at. Modern travelers enjoy a level of comfort which the lords andladies on grand tours in the old days couldn』t have dreamed of. But what』s thesense of this mass exchange of populations if the nations of the world remainbasically ignorant of each other?
Many tourist organizations are directlyresponsible for this state of affairs. They deliberately set out to protecttheir clients from too much contact with the local population. The moderntourist leads cosseted, sheltered life. He lives at international hotels, wherehe eats his international food and sips his international drink while he gazesat the natives from a distance. Concted tours to places of interest arecarefully censored. The tourist is allowed to see only what the organizers wanthim to see and no more. A strict schele makes it impossible for the touristto wander off on his own; and anyway, language is always a barrier, so he isonly too happy to be protected in this way. At its very worst, this leads to anew and hideous kind of colonization. The summer quarters of the inhabitants ofthe cite universities: are temporarily re-established on the island of Corfu.Blackpoll is recreated at Torremolinos where the traveler goes not to eatpaella, but fish and chips.
The sad thing about this situation is thatit leads to the persistence of national stereotypes. We don』t see the people ofother nations as they really are, but as we have been brought up to believethey are. You can test this for yourself. Take five nationalities, say, French,German, English, American and Italian. Now in your mind, match them with thesefive adjectives: musical, amorous, cold, pedantic, native. Far from providingus with any insight into the national characteristics of the peoples justmentioned, these adjectives actually act as barriers. So when you set out onyour travels, the only characteristics you notice are those which confirm yourpreconceptions. You come away with the highly unoriginal and inaccurateimpression that, say, 『Anglo-saxons are hypocrites』 or that 『Latin peoplesshout a lot』. You only have to make a few foreign friends to understand howabsurd and harmful national stereotypes are. But how can you make foreignfriends when the tourist trade does its best to prevent you?
Carried to an extreme, stereotypes can bepositively dangerous. Wild generalizations stir up racial hatred and blind u tothe basic fact—how trite it sounds! –that all people are human. We are allsimilar to each other and at the same time all unique

A trip to Hainan
I went on a trip to Hainan today with my family .We went there by plane. After we got off the plane, we went to the beach to see the beautiful sand and swim there. There were other people there too. Some people were surfing and some people were diving in the deeper part of the sea. Afterwards we had lunch at a seafood restaurant near the beach. We ate seafood like shrimps and craps, and drank some abalone soup.
We all didn't want to go home because the scenery was so beautiful, and there were so many other exciting things to try,but sadly it was time for us to go.
It was definitely an exciting trip.If I have a chance to go there again, i will be more than happy to visit the place again.

Tourism Wave
With the rapid development of our transportation, communication and economy, people`s life are becoming better and better, while tourism are also becoming more and more popular, we call the phenomenon 「tourism wave」.
Tourism instry brought about the development of economy, as well as the construction of scenic spots. Moreover, it provides us a lot of opportunities to find a job, such as tourist guide, translator and so on.
As a coin has two sides, 「tourism wave」 also brought us a lot of troubles. Along with the development of tourism, all the famous scenic spots are full of tourists, especially ring the weekends and holidays, which did great harm to the environment and the places of interest. It also brought about traffic jam and hidden danger.
In conclusion, we should have a clear mind towards tourism. In my opinion, taking a tour is a kind of relax and enjoyment, if there are so many people, so bad transportation, and troublesome, it is meaningless. So, before you join in the group of 「tourism wave」 ,trying your best to avoid the disadvantages I have mentioned.
